Tsinghua Design Studio Review
JG Design was delighted to participate in the interim review for the “Healthy Urban Renewal Studio” at Tsinghua shenzhen international graduate school, Institute of Future Human Habitats. Our senior architectural designer, Mr. Liu Yiqi, was invited as a guest critic to listen to student presentations and provide professional feedback and suggestions for further development, drawing from his extensive practical experience in architectural design.
This studio is a foundational course for the Master of Urban Systems in Human Habitats programme, focusing on the integration of health into urban planning and design.Students tackled real-world challenges in the old residential areas of Shatou Subdistrict, Shenzhen, proposing evidence-based planning and design interventions that balance renovation needs with long-term health objectives. JG Design has similarly long focused on the intersection of public health and urban planning, actively responding to national urban renewal policies and examining the influence of the built environment on residents’ health and well-being.
JG Design is committed to fostering industry-academia collaboration and supporting the next generation of architects. We maintain active partnerships with leading universities through various initiatives, including providing guest critics, offering summer internships, and delivering open lectures. These efforts form a core part of our dedication to professional education and industry development.
